Y Glannau 8 Caer Clwyd 1
Match report
Our final home game of the season ended with a comfortable 8-1 win against Caer Clwyd.
We played some lovely football today and went 1-0 up after great work from Macca who pressed to win the ball back, he then played the ball to Tomos who played it first time through to Harrison, he then raced away to finish well to the goalkeepers left. (Lovely goal)
1 soon became two once again it was a good ball through by Tomos, the ball bounced around the box and we got a little bit of luck and once again Harrison put it away 2-0.
John Wood the Caer Clwyd keeper then made a great save from Joeys freekick.
Caer Clwyd got one back after a corner was flicked on and it was put in at the back post by Keiran Kendrick 2-1.
The visitors had a good spell towards the end of the half but the final ball just let them down.
Brads distribution for us today was excellent and his handling from corners and set pieces was also very good.
Half time
Y Glannau 2 Caer Clwyd 1
Second half we started very brightly pressing to win the ball back and forcing Caer Clwyd into silly mistakes.
We went 3-1 up after a nice move, Harrison drove with the ball, he found Tomos on the edge of the box who touched it off for Joey to smash home from the edge of the box. ( Hatrick of assists for Tomos and another well worked goal for us)
Talking of hatricks Harrison Bellis got yet another hatrick for us with a tidy finish after his initial effort was well saved and he tapped in the rebound to put us 4-1 up. Everytime we attacked it looked like we were going to score.
We went 5-1 up after Macca’s corner was headed into his own net by the Caer Clwyd captain.
We made a few changes to keep the game fresh and the lads that came on got on with it straight away one of our substitutes made an instant impact after good play from Macca who played the ball across the goal for Josh Mac to slide in and finish well 6-1.
We could of gone 7-1 up but John Wood denied Corey Williams a goal with a good Save down to his left.
We did go 7-1 up not long after though when Ged picked the ball up and played a lovely ball in for Harrison to nod home.
Ged almost got on the score sheet as well but his good effort from distance went just over the bar.
We did get an 8th after a good ball down the line from Josh Mac set Harrison away, he still had a lot to do but he cut in and finished well into the bottom corner.
Harrison could of had his 6th of the day and our 9th but this time Harrison couldn’t keep his shot down.
